ortoanypersonintoxicatedorappearingtobeinastateof
intoxicationshallbeguiltyofamisdemeanor.
Itshallbeadefensetoprosecutionunderthisoffenseif:the
purchaseroftheintoxicatingliquorexhibitedtothedefendanta
formofidentification listedinthebill.
Currently,anindividualthatwantstopurchasealcoholfroma
licenseemustpresentaformofidentification aslistedinthe
bill.Thebillallowsforasecureidentityverificationsystem
thatutilizesanelectronicscanmechanismtobeusedin
determiningwhethersaidpurchaseris21yearsofageorolder.
