AN ACT
To repeal section 574.050, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the
offense of rioting, with penalty provisions.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Section 574.050, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1
section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 574.050, 2
to read as follows:3
574.050. 1. A person commits the offense of rioting 1
if he or she knowingly assembles with six or more other 2
persons and agrees with such persons to violate any of the 3
criminal laws of this state or of the United States with 4
force or violence, and thereafter, while still so assembled, 5
does violate any of said laws with force or violence. 6
2. The offense of rioting is a class [A misdemeanor] E 7
felony. 8
