1010 To repeal section 77.150, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to water
1111 projects constructed by certain cities.

1313 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
1414 Section A. Section 77.150, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1
1515 section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 77.150, 2
1616 to read as follows:3
1717 77.150. In addition to other powers, the mayor and 1
1818 council of cities of the third class are hereby authorized 2
1919 and empowered to acquire by gift, devise, purchase or 3
2020 condemnation, within such cities or within a mile thereof, 4
2121 such real and personal property as may be necessary or 5
2222 desirable for the purpose of the erection or construction of 6
2323 dams, lake and flood protection systems, bathhouses, 7
2424 therapeutic bathhouses, mineral water vending houses and in 8
2525 connection therewith, auditoriums and lecture rooms an d for 9
2626 the laying of pipelines for the distribution of mineral 10
2727 waters and to so acquire, improve and operate mineral 11
2828 springs and wells, and to construct all necessary and 12
2929 appropriate buildings and works therefor, and to do any and 13
3030 all things necessary to maintain and operate said properties 14
3131 so acquired and constructed as a self -liquidating revenue 15
3232 producing public project, and for that purpose to lease or 16
3333 convey the same[; provided such properties shall be so 17
3434 acquired, constructed and thereafter mai ntained and operated 18 SB 776 2
3535 without increasing the indebtedness of such city and shall 19
3636 not be paid for, maintained or operated by taxes, either 20
