14	14		AN ACT TO REQUIRE EACH PERSON SEEKING A HUNTING OR FISHING LICENSE IN 2
15	15		THIS STATE BE OFFERED AN OPPORTUNITY TO REGISTER TO VOTE AND TO 3
16	16		PARTICIPATE IN THE ORGAN DONOR REGISTRY. 4
17	17		The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
18	18		SECTION 1. G.S. 113-275 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 6
19	19		"(l) A person applying for any license under this Article shall be offered an opportunity 7
20		-	to participate in the Organ Donor Registry internet site established pursuant to G.S. 20-43.2 and 8
21		-	shall be offered a voter registration form. For persons applying online for a license or permit 9
22		-	under this Article, the Commission shall work with the State Board of Elections to mail a voter 10
23		-	registration form to any person opting to receive a voter registration form. After consultation 11
24		-	with the State Board of Elections and the Division of Motor Vehicles, the Wildlife Resources 12
25		-	Commission shall adopt rules for compliance with this subsection." 13
26		-	SECTION 1.5. Nothing in this act shall be construed to expand or otherwise 14
27		-	authorize online voter registration. 15
28		-	SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025, and applies to licenses issued 16
29		-	under Chapter 113 of the General Statutes on or after that date. 17
