The bill extends timelines for nominations made by the Nebraska State Bar Association, requires that members be residents of the district covered by a commission, allows members to serve on more than one commission, extends term limits to 12 consecutive years, and allows for nominations and elections of lawyer members to be conducted by electronic means if necessary. The bill also changes provisions for filling commission vacancies and regarding the powers and duties of the Clerk of the Supreme Court and Executive Council of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
