Expands voter registration to include registration by any agency or entity that accepts an application or collects a fee in exchange for a government or educational service.
Allows public campaign funds to be used for disability access services including but not limited to captioning, sign language interpretation, assistive listening device, Braille, large print, communication access real-time translation and accessible transportation services and to be used for language interpretation and translation services.
Relates to monies received and expenditures made by a party committee or constituted committee; such monies shall not be transferred or contributed unless it is to the segregated account of another party committee or constituted committee to be used only for non-candidate expenditures.
Authorizes, under certain circumstances, full-time college and university students to act as election inspectors and poll clerks in the election district where their college or university is located.
Relates to notifying candidates of designation for certain county committees; requires the board of elections of the city of New York to provide notice to each candidate designated in a petition for election to a party position of a county committee located within the city of New York.
Relates to the procedure for filling a vacancy in the office of state senator or in the office of member of assembly; allows for independent nominating petitions to be presented and provides for a special election to be held forty-five days from the date of the governor making a proclamation for a special election.
