Prohibits a pharmacist from substituting any anti-epileptic drug for the prescribed anti-epileptic drug without notification of and the informed consent of the prescriber and patient or such patient's parent, guardian or spouse.
Requires colleges, universities, professional, proprietary and graduate schools to provide written notice to all students of the institution's tuition liability policy.
Grants volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians academic credit at state operated institutions of the state university of New York and the senior colleges of the city university of New York to the extent of three academic credits per year, and 6 credits in the aggregate; provides that no fee, tuition or other charge shall be assessed against a volunteer firefighter or emergency medical technician who qualifies for such credit; directs the board of trustees of the state university and the city university of New York to adopt necessary procedures.
Requires student onboarding and ongoing education on reproductive health services available to students including where the closest reproductive health clinics are located; all resources available to a student seeking reproductive health services including but not limited to financial assistance and mental health services and any reproductive health resources available to a student through the institution.
Enacts the "fair college admissions act"; prohibits degree-granting institutions of higher education from giving preference to applicants based on such applicant's familial relationship to an alumni of such institution.
Relates to funds concerning state university health care facilities; prohibits the use of such funds for payment of certain debts related to a state university health care facility.
Requires the Empire State Development Corporation, in consultation with the department of agriculture and markets and the office of new Americans to conduct a study on the economic impact of the establishment of kitchen incubators; requires a report to the governor and the legislature.
Relates to the practice of acupuncture and the exemption that a person who does not otherwise possess the credentials or qualifications required for the practice of acupuncture may engage in the practice of auriculotherapy or "ear acupuncture" subject to certain restrictions.
Expands the eligibility period for indigent legal service attorneys to receive certain loan forgiveness; increases loan reimbursement for certain attorneys who work in legal services with indigent clients.
Establishes and authorizes telepharmacy in this state; defines terms; creates telepharmacy satellite consultation sites and telepharmacy in hospitals; authorizes the filling of prescriptions at remote sites connected to central pharmacies via computer link, videolink and audiolink; makes exceptions.
Provides access to medication abortion prescription drugs at SUNY and CUNY campuses by employing or contracting with individuals authorized to prescribe such drugs, or by providing referrals.
Relates to tuition scholarship award programs for certain resident and non-resident medical students attending approved medical programs on a full-time basis.
