Creates the New York state public sector employee loan forgiveness program for graduates of SUNY or CUNY schools employed in a state or local public sector position.
Includes nurse practitioners as a provider of services for purposes of collaborative drug therapy management; makes the authorization for pharmacists to perform such management permanent.
Establishes the "New York patients' right to know act"; requires physicians and certain licensed professionals to disclose findings of certain misconduct to patients.
Requires the state university of New York and the city university of New York to adopt certain provisions related to student mental health such as administering student mental health surveys, establishing a mental health committee, administering mental health training to faculty and staff, and improving university policies regarding mental health.
Establishes a state university of New York career pilot program to encourage individuals in college to enter the financial planning industry; utilizes campus resources to encourage a well-rounded program and diverse student involvement.
Relates to certified public accountants; requires that a majority of the ownership of a professional service corporation formed to lawfully engage in the practice of public accountancy as a firm are individuals licensed to practice public accountancy in some state; enacts similar provisions for partnerships and LLCs.
Prohibits publicly traded pharmacies with twenty or more stores in this state from establishing or enforcing quotas for duties performed by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, including evaluating or measuring the number of prescriptions filled, services rendered, programs offered and revenue obtained.
