Enacts the feathered lives also count act directing the commissioner of general services to incorporate practices and strategies to reduce bird fatality resulting from collisions with certain state-owned or state-leased buildings, and for other purposes; requires the commissioner to develop a design guide that includes features, methods and strategies, and best practices for reducing bird fatalities; requires the commissioner to report to the governor and the legislature.
Exempts certain parcels of land from licensing restrictions prohibiting manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of alcoholic beverages from sharing an interest in a licensed premises and from selling at retail for consumption off the premises.
Exempts persons holding the office of assistant district attorney in the county of Greene from the requirement that such persons reside in such county.
Authorizes conditional adult-use cultivator and processor licensees to sell tested, packaged, and sealed cannabis products or biomass to a cannabis dispensing facility licensed or permitted by a tribal nation for retail sale.
Relates to rental discrimination based upon consumer credit history; prohibits a person from refusing to rent or lease or otherwise to deny to or withhold from any person or group of persons housing accommodations because of the consumer credit history of such person or persons, or to represent that any housing accommodation is not available for rental or lease when in fact it is so available; defines consumer credit history.
Relates to sharing information obtained from applicants and licensees and requesting financial institutions for the purpose of consideration and compliance.
Relates to residency requirements for paid firefighters in a city with a population of one million or more; requires any person appointed as a paid member of the uniformed force of a paid fire department of a city with a population of one million or more to become a resident of any political subdivision or municipal corporation within such city within one year of his or her appointment and to continue to reside within any such political subdivision or municipal corporation.
Directs the New York state comptroller to conduct a feasibility study on implementing a universal basic income program; requires the state comptroller, in conjunction with the division of budget and New York city comptroller, to conduct a study on implementing a universal basic income program that provides individuals or households with an annual income of less than $80,000 per year with $7,200 per year for individuals and $14,400 per year for couples.
Extends certain authorizations of conditional adult-use cultivators and processors to minimally process and distribute cannabis products until June 1, 2024.
Extends the authorization of the town of Mount Pleasant to adopt a local law to impose a hotel/motel occupancy tax for hotels not located in a village to September 1, 2025.
Relates to alcohol in certain motion picture theatres; authorizes a person holding a retail on-premises license for a movie theatre to allow the purchase of alcoholic beverages under certain circumstances.
