Requires the installation and maintenance of playground equipment by the New York city housing authority to substantially comply with the guidelines and criteria contained in the handbook for public playground safety produced by the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission or any successor thereof.
Provides that a person who has previously been subjected to two or more petit larceny convictions within 18 months immediately preceding the charge and the aggregate value of the property exceeds one thousand dollars, the person is guilty of grand larceny in the fourth degree.
Requires social services districts to, every heating season, automatically re-enroll persons or households currently receiving assistance through the low-income home energy assistance program, so long as each person or household maintains eligibility.
Limits the amount of rent increases for residential ground lease cooperative apartment buildings; establishes certain rights upon the expiration of such leases.
Amends the 2022 capital projects budget to allow competitive grants to provide safety and security projects at nonprofit organizations at risk of hate crimes or attacks to be awarded to small businesses as defined by section 131 of the economic development law.
Provides for the creation of a drug guide for seniors regarding the drugs commonly used by people over 62 years of age; provides that such guide will include functions and drug interactions.
Requires the city of New York to reduce the interest accrued on certain charges assessed by the NYC department of health for inspections, clean-ups, examinations and other services performed between 1/21/97 and 11/9/99 on real property located at 1690 60th Street in Brooklyn.
Prohibits smoking in private passenger cars, vans and trucks where a minor less than 14 years of age is a passenger in such vehicles; provides for rebuttable presumption; provides that violations of such provisions shall be subject to a fine of not more than $100.
Enacts the "hope card act" directing the office of court administration to develop a program to issue hope cards containing the information regarding and content of a final order of protection to requesting petitioners who have received final orders of protection at no cost to such petitioner.
Provides that a collective bargaining agreement or employment contract shall not require that an emergency dispatcher employed by a municipality obtain approval from, or provide notice to, a supervisor to access mental or behavioral health care services.
