Provides for the payment of retirement benefits to members of the New York state employees retirement system who reentered service after retiring before January 1, 1980, pursuant to chapter 666 of the laws of 1990.
Requires state contractors to submit a statement on preventing human trafficking in bids to the state and maintain a written policy for preventing human trafficking within its operations, business dealings, and supply chain and provide to the state a copy of such policy when submitting such statement.
Prohibits certain food additives and food color additives; provides that in an action to enforce compliance, the recognition by the federal food and drug administration of any of these substances as safe may not be alleged as a defense.
Authorizes the county of Nassau assessor to accept an application for a real property tax exemption from New York Jesus Baptist Church with respect to the 2022-2023 assessment roll for all of the 2022-2023 school taxes and all of the 2023 general taxes.
Prohibits retailers and secondhand dealers from selling, offering for sale, leasing or otherwise making available a baby monitor that broadcasts audio or video through an internet connection unless it includes certain security features to prevent unauthorized access; requires a written warning label.
Allows a police officer or district attorney certain discretion with respect to the obligation to file an application for extreme risk protection order.
Provides the temporary president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly the ability to appoint four members each of the state university of New York's board of trustees; reduces the members of such board the governor appoints to seven.
Increases from three million dollars to four millions dollars the cost of 10 projects which shall be located at the STEM at Blodgett Middle School, the Corcoran High School, the Delaware Primary School, the Henninger High School, the Syracuse Latin School, the Lincoln Middle School, the Nottingham High School, the Roberts PreK-8 School, the Seymour Dual Language Academy and the Webster Elementary School.
Requires public buildings which are or contain an area of public assembly or service to have equipped and installed an induction loop listening system for use by persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Relates to providing secondary school pupils and adults in career education programs access to programs/courses sufficient to comprise a career major in electric vehicle maintenance and repair; establishes the working group on electric vehicle career education achievement.
Relates to the obligations of a physician upon the termination of a relationship with a patient; requires the physician to provide thirty days notice to the patient, to continue to provide care and prescriptions to the patient, and to provide referrals and copies of patient records.
Enacts a mattress collection program; requires mattress producers to establish a plan for the convenient and cost-effective recycling of used mattresses.
