HEVESI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to newborn screening for duchenne muscular dystrophy The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 2500-a of the public health law is 2 amended by adding a new subdivision (k) to read as follows: 3 (k) Duchenne muscular dystrophy using a test validated by the Wads- 4 worth center for laboratories and research. 5 § 2. The Wadsworth center for laboratories and research shall under- 6 take the process for testing validation upon the development of a test 7 for duchenne muscular dystrophy. 8 § 3.
