 Senate Resolution No. 568 BY: Senator PARKER HONORING the Eureka Grand Chapter upon the occasion of hosting its Esther Day Women's History Month Celebration on March 26, 2025 WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor and recognize distinguished organizations and events that celebrate leadership, empowerment, and the contributions of remarkable individuals to our society; and WHEREAS, The Eureka Grand Chapter will proudly host the Esther Day Women's History Month Celebration on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at The Grand East in New York City, paying tribute to outstanding women who have exemplified courage, vision, and commitment in their respective fields; and WHEREAS, Inspired by the legacy of Queen Esther, a historical figure renowned for her bravery, wisdom, and leadership, this event serves as a testament to the power of resilience and advocacy in advancing communities and shaping a brighter future; and WHEREAS, Esther Day not only honors women of distinction, but also underscores the intersection of Black history and women's history, recognizing the critical roles that Black women have played in fostering social progress, breaking barriers, and inspiring future generations; and WHEREAS, The 2025 celebration will feature keynote speaker Dr. Angela Moses, an esteemed advocate for empowerment and leadership, and will recognize several distinguished honorees for their exemplary contributions to media, business, public service, and community advocacy; and WHEREAS, This year's event is chaired by Sister Teri Coaxum, Grand Associate Conductress of the Eureka Grand Chapter, and RW Sandino Sanchez, Junior Grand Warden of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York, under the esteemed leadership of Most Worshipful Daren M. Morton, Ed.D., Grand Master, along with Sister Marsha Mack, Grand Worthy Matron, and Brother Grant M. Valentine, Grand Worthy Patron; and WHEREAS, The Eureka Grand Chapter Esther Day Women's History Month Celebration serves as a beacon of inspiration and a platform for recognizing women whose dedication to leadership, service, and community advancement has left an indelible mark on society; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to recognize and honor the Eureka Grand Chapter upon the occasion of hosting the Esther Day Women's History Month Celebration and for its continued commitment to honoring and uplifting women of distinction; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to the Eureka Grand Chapter.
