HELMING -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation -- commit- tee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recom- mitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of the state highway system to "TSgt Kory Wade" <B><U>The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-</U></B> <B><U>bly, do enact as follows:</U></B> 1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 345-d to 2 read as follows: 3 <B><U>§ 345-d. Portion of the state highway system to be dedicated to "TSgt</U></B> 4 <B><U>Kory Wade". All that portion of the state highway system constituting</U></B> 5 <B><U>state route twenty-one from its intersection with state route ninety-six</U></B> 6 <B><U>to its intersection with Latting Road and Standpipe Road, in the town of</U></B> 7 <B><U>Manchester, county of Ontario, shall be dedicated to "TSgt Kory Wade".</U></B> 8 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal- 9 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system 10 as dedicated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid 11 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the dedi- 12 cation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of 13 ceremonial nature and the official name of such highway shall not be 14 changed as a result of this act. 15 § 3.
