RYAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Disabilities AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to equipping certain emergency response vehicles with appropriate communication devices for deaf individuals The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 563 to 2 read as follows: 3 § 563. Emergency response vehicles; communication devices. Every 4 police vehicle, fire vehicle, ambulance, or emergency ambulance service 5 vehicle, as such terms are defined in article one of the vehicle and 6 traffic law, shall be equipped with appropriate communication devices to 7 facilitate real-time communication with deaf individuals. 8 § 2.
