32158 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

34159 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
35160 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 139.204 of Title 17, unless
36161 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

38162 A. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce with the participation
39163 and advice of the Rural Broadband Expansion Council shall promulgate
40164 rules and procedures for the establishment of the State Broadband
41165 Deployment Grant Program. The State Broadband Deployment Grant
42166 Program shall include development of a competitive grant program t o
43167 award funding to applicants seeking to expand access to broadband

49197 B. There is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving
50198 fund for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to be designated the
51199 "State Broadband Deployment Grant Program Fund ". The fund shall be
52200 a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal year limitations, and shall
53201 consist of all monies des ignated for deposit to said fund. All
54202 monies accruing to the credit of said fund are hereby appropriated
55203 and may be budgeted and shall be expended by the Department for the
56204 purpose of awarding grants by and through the Rural Broadband
57205 Expansion Council, p ursuant to subsection A of this section, to
58206 applicants seeking to expand access to broadband Internet service in
59207 this state.
