2251 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

2452 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2011, Section 1002, is
2553 amended to read as follows:

2754 Section 1002. A. The Construction Industries Board is here by
2855 authorized, empowered, and directed to make, prescribe, enforce,
2956 amend, and repeal rules governing the following:

3157 1. The examination and licensing of persons desiring or
3258 intending to engage in the bus iness, trade or calling of plumbing
3359 contractor or journeyman plumber, implementing the provisions of The
3460 Plumbing License Law of 1955, including, but not limited to,
3561 defining categories and limitations for such licenses ;

3762 2. The registering of and issuing of certificates to persons
3863 desiring or intending to work or act as a plumber's apprentice;

4091 3. The establishment and levying of administrative fines;

4695 provisions of The Plumbing License Law of 1955 or any rule
4796 promulgated pursuant to The Plumbing License Law of 1955;

4997 6. The establishment of minimum standards of plumbing

5299 7. The establishment of bonding and insurance requirem ents for
53100 the issuance of a license as a plumbing contractor; provided, such
54101 rules shall not be inconsistent with the terms and conditions
55102 hereinafter provided.

57103 B. Such bonding requirements shall allow th e filing of cash or
58104 a certificate of deposit in lieu of a bond. A state bond or cash or
59105 certificate of deposit filed in lieu of a bond and which is posted
60106 pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be deemed
61107 sufficient to meet the requirements of an y municipality, provided
62108 that a copy of said bond or documentation of cash or certificate of
63109 deposit filed in lieu of a bond shall be filed by the contractor
64110 prior to the commencement of any plumbing work with any municipality
65111 in which the licensee does wo rk if required by local ordinances or
66112 rules.
