46	46	institutions of higher education to issue unused
47	47	pupil and student identification cards; providing
48	48	applicability; providin g for codification; and

56	56	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
57	57	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
58	58	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1210.200A of Title 70, unles s
59	59	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
60	60	A. Beginning July 1, 2022 , a public school, including a charter
61	61	school, that serves any pupils in seventh grade to twelfth grade and
62	62	issues pupil identification cards, shall have printed on either side
63	63	of the pupil identification cards the telephone number described in
64	64	paragraph 1 of this subsection and may have printed on either side

92	92	paragraph 2 of this subsection:
93	93	1. The telephone number for the National Suicide Prevention
94	94	Lifeline; and
95	95	2. The Crisis Text Line, which can be accessed by texting HOME
96	96	to 741741.
97	97	B. It is the intent of the Legislat ure that, beginning July 1,
98	98	2022, a public or private institution of higher edu cation that
99	99	issues student identification cards may have printed on either side
100	100	of the student identification cards the telephone number described
101	101	in paragraph 1 of this subsection and may have printed on either
102	102	side of the student identification cards the telephone numbers
103	103	described in paragraphs 2 and 3 of this subsection:
104	104	1. The telephone number for the National Suicide Prevention
105	105	Lifeline;
106	106	2. The Crisis Text Line, which can be accessed by texting HOME
107	107	to 741741; and
108	108	3. The campus police or security t elephone number or, if the
109	109	campus does not have a campus police or security telephone number,
110	110	the local nonemergency telephone number.
111	111	C. As of January 1, 2022 , if a school subject to the
112	112	requirements of subsection A of this section, or a public or privat e
113	113	institution of higher education subject to the requirements of
114	114	subsection B of this section, has a supply of unissued pupil or

141	141	student identification cards that do not comply with the
142	142	requirements of subsections A and B of this section, as applicable,
143	143	the school or the public or private institution of higher education
144	144	shall issue those pupil or student identification cards until that
145	145	supply is depleted.
146	146	D. Subsections A and B of this section shall apply to a pupil
147	147	or student identification card issued fo r the first time to a pupil
148	148	or student, and to a pupil or student identification card issued to
149	149	replace a damaged or lost pupil or student identification card.
150	150	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021 .
