98+SECTION 1. AMENDATORY Section 3, Chapter 337, O.S.L.
99+2017 (10A O.S. Supp. 2020, Section 2 -7-620), is amended to read as
100+follows:
101+Section 2-7-620. A. Concurrent with the Office of Juvenile
102+Affairs (OJA) campus consolidation process as contemplated by this
103+act Section 2-7-618 et seq. of this title , OJA is directed to
104+develop, in collaboration with other executive branch agencies and
105+such other entities as OJA deems necessary in furtherance of the
106+requirements of this act Section 2-7-618 of this title, plans for
107+the repurposing of the Southwest Oklahoma Juvenile Center and the
108+Oklahoma Juvenile Center for Girls campuses. The agency shall
109+provide a report to the Governor, the Speaker of the Oklahoma House
110+of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma
111+State Senate on recommendations for future use of those facilities
112+not later than March 3 1, 2018, or one hundred eighty (180) days from
113+such date if the provisions of this act Section 2-7-618 et seq. of
114+this title become effective as law later than July 1, 2017.
115+B. No later than October 1, 2021, the OJA shall provide a
116+report to the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and
117+the Speaker of the House of Representatives on the feasibility of
118+entering into a contract for or operating group homes of any level
119+at the Southwest Oklahoma Juvenile Center campus located in Manitou,
120+Oklahoma.
121+SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2021.

273+approval by the Governor and the Oklahoma Attorney General, to allow
274+for the placement of children and young adults in the custody of the
275+tribal nation or an agency or department of federal government to
276+reside and participate in any identified OJA -contracted or -operated
277+program or facility.
278+SECTION 5. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
