52	52	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
53	53	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
54	54	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 294 of Title 17, unless there is
55	55	created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
56	56	The Corporation Commission shall promulgate rules and procedures
57	57	requiring electric utilities operating in this state to replace all
58	58	existing distribution and transmission overhead wires, power poles
59	59	and associated overhead structures with subterranean power lines.
60	60	The rules and procedures shall require all future projects
61	61	necessitate the installation of subterranean power lines. The rules
62	62	and procedures shall contain provisions allowing the electric
63	63	utility, subject to rate regulation by the Corporation Commission ,

92	92	adjust its rates to recover the costs of expenditures to comply with
93	93	the requirements of this section.
94	94	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
