4040 An Act relating to criminal procedure; providing for

5050 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5151 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5252 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 209.1 of Title 22, unless there
5353 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5454 Any person chargedwith failure to appear in any Oklahoma court
5555 shall have the charge and warrant for arrest dismissed if the person
5656 can prove to the court that he or she was incarcerated or ot herwise
5757 detained by law enforcement at the time of his or her failure to
5858 appear.
5959 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
