| 50 | 50 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: | |
| 51 | 51 | SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | |
| 52 | 52 | in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 209.1 of Title 22, unless there | |
| 53 | 53 | is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: | |
| 54 | 54 | Any person chargedwith failure to appear in any Oklahoma court | |
| 55 | 55 | shall have the charge and warrant for arrest dismissed if the person | |
| 56 | 56 | can prove to the court that he or she was incarcerated or ot herwise | |
| 57 | 57 | detained by law enforcement at the time of his or her failure to | |
| 58 | 58 | appear. | |
| 59 | 59 | SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021. | |
