AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to criminal procedure; providing for
the dismissal of arrest warrants and charges under
certain circumstances; providing fo r codification;
and providing an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 209.1 of Title 22, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
Any person chargedwith failure to appear in any Oklahoma court
shall have the charge and warrant for arrest dismissed if the person
can prove to the court that he or she was incarcerated or ot herwise
detained by law enforcement at the time of his or her failure to
appear.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
