NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5003.51 of Title 74, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: A. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce shall post a public dashboard related to its business recruiting efforts with an emphasis on possible business site location or relocation decisions within the state. B. The information on the dashboard shall not disclose the identity of any person or firm with whom or with which the Department of Commerce is communicating regarding possible business site location or relocation; provided, howev er, the Department shall SENATE FLOOR VERSION - HB2929 SFLR Page 2 (Bold face denotes Committee Amendments) 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 include information on the dashboard regarding possible locations or relocations for a business site location decision organized by county indicating active projects by time and length under consideration to be updated on the dashb oard no less often than every thirty (30) days in all cases . C. A county, city or town, or instrumentalities, authorities, agents or other authorized persons acting on behalf of a county, city or town, may contact the Oklahoma Department of Commerce in order to submit an application for economic development -related services that might be offered to a prospective business enterprise using the information from the dashboard. D. The information on the dashboard required by this section shall be updated by th e Department when material changes occur that indicate that a business will not locate in a county or that a county has been excluded from consideration or no less often than every thirty (30) days in all cases. E. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce shal l prepare an annual report summarizing business recruiting activity during the preceding calendar year or fiscal year which shall separately describe projects led by the Department of Commerce, projects assisted by the Department of Commerce and general pr ojects taking place within the state. SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2021. It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
