5459 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5560 SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 3 of Article V of the Oklahoma
5661 Constitution, there is hereby ordered the following legislative
5762 referendum which shall be filed with the Secretary of State and
5863 addressed to the Governor of the state, who shall submit the same to
5964 the people for their approval or rejection at the General Election.
6065 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codifie d
6166 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Se ction 70 of Title 25, unless there is
6267 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
63-A. On November 8, 2022, the standard time in Oklahoma shall be
64-known as Central Standard Time.

95+A. On November 8, 2022, the standard time in Oklahoma shall be
96+known as Central Standard Time.
9197 B. This section shall not be constr ued to affect the standard
9298 time established by United States law governing the movements of
9399 common carriers engaged in interstate commerce or the time for
94100 performance of an act by an of ficer or department of the United
95101 States, as established by a statute, lawful order, rule, or
96102 regulation of the United States or an age ncy hereof.
97103 C. As authorized by the Uniform Time Act of 1966, as amended,
98104 and notwithstanding any other provisions of l aw to the contrary by
99105 the United States government relating to adoption of daylight saving
100106 time by all of the states, the State of Okla homa elects to reject
101107 such time and elects to continue in force the terms of subsection A
102108 of this section relating to standard time in Oklahoma.
103109 D. The rejection of daylight saving time as pro vided for in
104110 this section may be changed by future legislativ e action.
105111 SECTION 3. The Ballot Title for the proposed act shall be in
106112 the following form:

109115 THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITION IS AS FOLLOWS:
110116 The measure establishes that standard time in Oklahoma shall be
111117 known as Central Standard Time. The measure rejects the
112118 adoption of daylight saving time in this state and mandates the
