| 48 | 48 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOP LE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: |

| 49 | 49 | | SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified |

| 50 | 50 | | in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 528.9 of Title 57, unless there |
|---|
| 51 | 51 | | is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: |

| 52 | 52 | | Effective July 1, 2022, the minimum compensation for corrections |

| 53 | 53 | | officers of the Department of Corre ctions who were employed by the |
|---|
| 54 | 54 | | state on the last working day of June 2022, shall be increased to an |
|---|
| 55 | 55 | | annual salary of Thirty-nine Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Dollars |
|---|
| 56 | 56 | | ($39,320.00), which is the average annual wage of year-round, full- |
|---|
| 57 | 57 | | time corrections officers, as derived from data obtained in a 2020 |
|---|
| 58 | 58 | | National Compensation Survey published by the United States Bureau |

| 59 | 59 | | of Labor Statistics. |
