50 | 45 | | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2021, Secti on 156.1, is |
---|
51 | 46 | | amended to read as follows: |

52 | 47 | | Section 156.1 A. It shall be unlawful for any state officia l, |
---|
53 | 48 | | officer or employee, except any essential employees approved by the |
---|
54 | 49 | | Governor and those officers or employees authorized in s ubsection B |
---|
55 | 50 | | of this section, to ride to or from the place of residence of the |
---|
56 | 51 | | employee in a state-owned or state-leased automobile, truck or |
---|
57 | 52 | | pickup, except in the performance of the o fficial duty of the |
---|
58 | 53 | | employee, or to use or permit the use of any such aut omobile, truck, |
---|
59 | 54 | | ambulance or pickup for other personal or private purposes . Any |
---|
60 | 55 | | person convicted of violating the provisions of this section shall |
---|
61 | 56 | | be guilty of a misdemeanor and shal l be punished by a fine of not |
---|
62 | 57 | | more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or by imprisonment in the |
---|
91 | 85 | | said fine and imprisonment, and in ad dition thereto, shall be |
---|
92 | 86 | | discharged from state employm ent. |
---|
93 | 87 | | B. 1. Any state employee, other than the individuals provided |
---|
94 | 88 | | for in paragraph 2 of this subsect ion and any employee of the |
---|
95 | 89 | | Department of Public Safety who is an e mployee in the Driver License |

96 | 90 | | Examining Division or the Driver Compliance Division or a wrecker |
---|
97 | 91 | | inspector or auditor of the Wrecker Services Division as provid ed |

98 | 92 | | for in paragraph 3 of this subsection, who receives emergency |

99 | 93 | | telephone calls regularly at the residence of the employee when the |
---|
100 | 94 | | employee is not on duty and is regularly called up on to use a |
---|
101 | 95 | | vehicle after normal work hours in response to such emergency calls, |
---|
102 | 96 | | may be permitted to us e a vehicle belonging to th e state to provide |
---|
103 | 97 | | transportation betwee n the residence of the employee and the |
---|
104 | 98 | | assigned place of employment, provided such di stance does not exceed |
---|
105 | 99 | | seventy-five (75) miles in any round trip or is wi thin the county |
---|
106 | 100 | | where the assigned place of employment is located . Provided |
---|
107 | 101 | | further, an employee may be permitted to use a state -owned or state- |
---|
108 | 102 | | leased vehicle to provide temporary tr ansportation between a |
---|
109 | 103 | | specific work location other than the assigned pla ce of employment |
---|
110 | 104 | | and the residence of the employee, if such use shall result in a |
---|
111 | 105 | | monetary saving to the agency, and such authori zation shall not be |
---|
112 | 106 | | subject to the distance or area re strictions provided for in this |
---|
113 | 107 | | paragraph. Authorization for temporary u se of a state-owned or |
---|
142 | 135 | | stating the justification for this use and the saving expected to |
---|
143 | 136 | | result. Such authorization sh all be valid for not to exceed sixty |

144 | 137 | | (60) days. Any state entity other t han law enforcement that avail s |

253 | 244 | | Division of Fleet Management if the motor vehicle for e mergency use |
---|
254 | 245 | | is provided by said Division. |
