40	40	An Act relating to schools; authorizing school
41	41	district to offer hunter safety elective course to
42	42	high school students; setting minimum requirements
43	43	for course materials and instructor; permitting State
44	44	Board of Education to coordinate wi th the Department
45	45	of Wildlife Conservation to promulgate rules;
46	46	providing for codification; and providing an

54	54	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
55	55	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
56	56	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 11-103.15 of Title 70, unless
57	57	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
58	58	A. A school district may offer to students in gra des nine
59	59	through twelve an elective course on hunter s afety.
60	60	B. A hunter safety elective course offered pursuant to this
61	61	section shall be:
62	62	1. Based on the hunter education program offered by the
63	63	Department of Wildlife Conservation pursuant to Section 4 -112A of
64	64	Title 29 of the Oklahoma Sta tutes; and

91	91	2. Taught by an instructor who meets the qualifi cations
92	92	required by the Department for a certified hunter education
93	93	instructor.
94	94	C. The State Board of Education may coo rdinate with the
95	95	Department of Wildlife Conservation to promulgate rules to implement
96	96	the provisions of this section.
97	97	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective Novembe r 1, 2022.
