40	40	An Act relating to state government; prohibiting
41	41	certain entities from closing or restricting hours of
42	42	operation without certain permiss ion; defining term;
43	43	providing for codification; and providing an
44	44	effective date.

48	48	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
49	49	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
50	50	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sect ion 11001 of Title 74, unless there
51	51	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
52	52	Except for state holidays, and closing of offices due to
53	53	inclement weather conditions, no public body shall close its offices
54	54	or limit or restrict its normal busin ess hours of operation without
55	55	permission from the Oklahoma Legislat ure or the Governor. For
56	56	purposes of this section , "public body" shall include, but not be
57	57	limited to, any state office, department, board, bureau, commission,
58	58	agency, trusteeship, authori ty, council, committee, trust or any
59	59	entity created by a trust, supported in whole or in part by public
60	60	funds or entrusted with the expenditure of public fun ds or
61	61	administering or oper ating public property .
