4040 An Act relating to state government; prohibiting

4242 operation without certain permiss ion; defining term;
4343 providing for codification; and providing an

4848 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
4949 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5050 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sect ion 11001 of Title 74, unless there
5151 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5252 Except for state holidays, and closing of offices due to
5353 inclement weather conditions, no public body shall close its offices
5454 or limit or restrict its normal busin ess hours of operation without
5555 permission from the Oklahoma Legislat ure or the Governor. For
5656 purposes of this section , "public body" shall include, but not be
5757 limited to, any state office, department, board, bureau, commission,
5858 agency, trusteeship, authori ty, council, committee, trust or any
5959 entity created by a trust, supported in whole or in part by public
6060 funds or entrusted with the expenditure of public fun ds or
6161 administering or oper ating public property .

8888 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
