AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to state government; prohibiting 
certain entities from closing or restricting hours of 
operation without certain permiss ion; defining term; 
providing for codification; and providing an 
effective date. 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sect ion 11001 of Title 74, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
Except for state holidays, and closing of offices due to 
inclement weather conditions, no public body shall close its offices 
or limit or restrict its normal busin ess hours of operation without 
permission from the Oklahoma Legislat ure or the Governor. For 
purposes of this section , "public body" shall include, but not be 
limited to, any state office, department, board, bureau, commission, 
agency, trusteeship, authori ty, council, committee, trust or any 
entity created by a trust, supported in whole or in part by public 
funds or entrusted with the expenditure of public fun ds or 
administering or oper ating public property .

SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
