65	65	An Act relating to the Oklahoma Personnel Act;
66	66	allowing certain authorities to grant sick leave with
67	67	pay under certain circumstances ; providing for
68	68	codification; and declaring an emergency.

73	73	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
74	74	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
75	75	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 840-2.20D of Title 74, unless
76	76	there is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
77	77	A. An appointing authority may grant COVID -19 sick leave with
78	78	pay not to exceed fifteen (15) working days per state fiscal year to
79	79	a state employee who is affected by COVID-19 or a variant thereof in
80	80	Oklahoma if:
81	81	1. The employee works in a health care or full-time custodial
82	82	care facility operated by this state;
83	83	2. The employee is required to isolate or quarantine because
84	84	the employee or a member of the employee 's household tests posi tive
85	85	for COVID-19 or a variant thereof; or

137	137	3. The employee has insufficient leave balan ces to continue in
138	138	a paid leave status for the duration of the period of quarantine
139	139	required by agency po licy.
140	140	B. Leave granted under this section shall be in such amo unts
141	141	necessary to supplement the use of the employee 's paid leave after
142	142	depletion of all available leave balances in order to avoid a leave
143	143	without pay status.
144	144	SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
145	145	of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
146	146	declared to exist, b y reason whereof this act shall take effect and
147	147	be in full force from and after its passage an d approval.
