6565 An Act relating to municipalities; providing

7777 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7878 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7979 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 13-117 of Title 11, unless there
8080 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8181 A. As used in this section, “biological sex” means the physical
8282 condition of being male or female, as identified at birth by that
8383 individual’s anatomy.
8484 B. Public restrooms and changing facilities that are intended
8585 to accommodate multiple individuals shall be designated as follows:
8686 1. For the exclusive use o f the male sex; or
8787 2. For the exclusive use of the female sex.

139139 C. A person shall use the public restroom or changing facility
140140 that corresponds to the individual’s biological sex.
141141 D. Municipalities shall not adopt an ordinance contrary to the
142142 provisions of this section.
143143 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2022.
144144 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
145145 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
146146 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall ta ke effect and
147147 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
