7777 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7878 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7979 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5025.1 of Title 63, unless there
8080 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8181 A. Subject to availability of funding, the Oklahoma Health Care
8282 Authority shall reimburse providers under the state Medicaid program
8383 for screening of children and adults for adverse childhood
8484 experiences (ACEs).
8585 B. If appropriate based on the ACE score, the provider shall
8686 refer the individual for appropriate services which may include but
8787 shall not be limited to counseling or other treatment.

139139 C. 1. The Authority shall seek any federal approval nece ssary
140140 to implement this section.
141141 2. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority Board shall promulgate
142142 rules to implement the provisions of this section.
143143 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2022.
144144 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preser vation
145145 of the public peace, health or safety, an e mergency is hereby
146146 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
147147 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
