An Act relating to polling places; providing for 
additional polling places for certain precincts; 
authorizing maintenance an d cleaning fee for certain 
facilities; providing for codification; providing an 
effective date; and declaring an emergency. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.    NEW LAW     A new section of law t o be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3-120.1 of Title 26, unless 
there is created a duplication i n numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  For elections to be held after July 1, 2022, any state 
agency, board, or commission that owns or leas es a facility located 
in or near a precinct without a suitable polling place available, 
shall make space within the facil ity available for use as a polling 
place upon the written request of the secretary of the county 
election board.

B.  For elections to be held after July 1, 2022, any political 
subdivision of this state that held an election that was conducted 
by a county election board on or after January 1, 2018, and that 
owns, rents, or leases a facility l ocated in or near a precinct 
without a suitable polling place available, shall make space within 
the facility available for use as a polling place upon the written 
request of the secretary of the county election board. 
C.  For facilities described in subs ection A or B of this 
section, a reasonable maintenance or cleaning fee may be c harged to 
the county election board for use of the facility as a polling 
place. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective July 1, 2022. 
SECTION 3.  It being immediat ely necessary for th e preservation 
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby 
declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and 
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
