65	65	An Act relating to higher education; requiring
66	66	certain institution with certain authori zation to
67	67	make certain disclosure on the institution's website,
68	68	promotional media, and contracts for instruction;
69	69	requiring disclosure to be in certain font size;
70	70	providing wording of disclosure; providing for
71	71	promulgation of rules; providing for codificat ion;
72	72	providing an effective date; and declaring an

79	79	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
80	80	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
81	81	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4106 of Title 70, unless there
82	82	is created a duplication in num bering, reads as follows:
83	83	A. A for-profit private institution of higher education,
84	84	seminary, religious institution , or any other institution authorized
85	85	as a degree-granting institution pursuant to the prov isions of
86	86	Section 4103 of Title 70 of the Okla homa Statutes shall disclose on
87	87	the institution's website, in all promotional digital and print
88	88	media created on or after the effective date of this act , and in all
89	89	contracts for instruction entered into or re newed on or after the

141	141	effective date of this act the fact that the institution is a for -
142	142	profit business.
143	143	B. The disclosure required by subsection A of this section
144	144	shall be in a font size that is as large or larger than any other
145	145	text on the institution's website, in all promotional digital and
146	146	print media, and in all contracts for instruction; provided,
147	147	however, the name of the institutio n may appear in a large r font
148	148	size. The disclosure shall be presented in a manner reasonably
149	149	calculated to draw the att ention of a reader.
150	150	C. The disclosure required by subsection A of this section
151	151	shall read as follows:
152	152	"___________ (Name of institution ) IS A FOR-PROFIT BUSINESS IN
153	153	THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA."
154	154	D. The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education may
155	155	promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this section .
156	156	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2022.
157	157	SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
158	158	of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
159	159	declared to exist, by reason whereof t his act shall take effect and
160	160	be in full force from and after its passage and approval .
