AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to higher education; requiring 
certain institution with certain authori zation to 
make certain disclosure on the institution's website, 
promotional media, and contracts for instruction; 
requiring disclosure to be in certain font size; 
providing wording of disclosure; providing for 
promulgation of rules; providing for codificat ion; 
providing an effective date; and declaring an 
emergency. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4106 of Title 70, unless there 
is created a duplication in num bering, reads as follows: 
A.  A for-profit private institution of higher education, 
seminary, religious institution , or any other institution authorized 
as a degree-granting institution pursuant to the prov isions of 
Section 4103 of Title 70 of the Okla homa Statutes shall disclose on 
the institution's website, in all promotional digital and print 
media created on or after the effective date of this act , and in all 
contracts for instruction entered into or re newed on or after the

effective date of this act the fact that the institution is a for -
profit business. 
B.  The disclosure required by subsection A of this section 
shall be in a font size that is as large or larger than any other 
text on the institution's website, in all promotional digital and 
print media, and in all contracts for instruction; provided, 
however, the name of the institutio n may appear in a large r font 
size.  The disclosure shall be presented in a manner reasonably 
calculated to draw the att ention of a reader. 
C.  The disclosure required by subsection A of this section 
shall read as follows: 
"___________ (Name of institution ) IS A FOR-PROFIT BUSINESS IN 
THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA." 
D.  The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education may 
promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this section . 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective July 1, 2022. 
SECTION 3.  It being immediately necessary for the preservation 
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby 
declared to exist, by reason whereof t his act shall take effect and 
be in full force from and after its passage and approval .
