25	55		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

27	56		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 14 O.S. 2021, Se ction 80.8, is
28	57		amended to read as follows:

30	58		Section 80.8. To file as a candidate for the State Senate in
31	59		any senatorial district, a person must have been a registered voter
32	60		in the district and a resident residing within such district for the
33	61		six-month period immediately preceding the first day of the fil ing
34	62		period as provided by law. Provided, however, to file as a
35	63		candidate for the Senate in any Senate district in 2022, a person
36	64		must have been a registered voter and a resident residing in such
37	65		district no later than December 31, 2021. Any member of the Senate

44	98		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2022.

49	100		of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
50	101		declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
