5053 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5154 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5255 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6-101.33 of Title 70, unless
5356 there is created a duplicatio n in numbering, reads as follows:
5457 A. Each public school district shall conduct an exit interview
5558 with teachers who leave the district ’s employment due to dismissal,
5659 nonreemployment, resignation, or retirement. The exit interview
5760 shall include a standar dized form created by the State Department of
5861 Education that includes but is not limited to :
5962 1. The reason for leaving the school district’s employment
6063 including whether the individual is retiring, pursuing employment at
6164 another school district, or leaving the teaching profession;

8892 2. Whether the teacher felt supported by school district
8993 administrators, the school district board of education , and/or
9094 parents and legal guardians of students enrolled in the di strict;
9195 and
9296 3. Recommendations for improving the cl imate of the school
9397 district.
9498 B. Data collected pursuant to subsection A of this section
9599 shall be submitted in the aggregate to the State Department of
96100 Education, which shall use the data to inform decisions regarding
97101 professional development of fered to teachers, and to the Office of
98102 Educational Quality and Accountability, which shall share the data
99103 with teacher education programs .
100104 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2022.
101105 SECTION 3. It being immediately nec essary for the preservation
102106 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
103107 declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and
104108 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
