6565 An Act relating to livestock products; allowing all
6666 beef, bison, pork, chi cken processed in a state
6767 inspected facility to be sold in Oklahoma without
6868 USDA approval; requiring all livestock products to be
6969 delivered and handled consistent with state law;

7272 to promulgate rules; provi ding for codification; and

7979 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
8080 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new sect ion of law to be codified
8181 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6-220 of Title 2, unless there
8282 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8383 A. Any beef, bison, pork, or chicken which is processed by a
8484 state inspected facil ity, and sold within the bor ders of this state,
8585 may be sold to any restaurant, store, market, or one -on-one sales
8686 without the United Sta tes Department of Agriculture (USDA ) approval
8787 as long as the beef, bison, pork, or chicken has passed all state
8888 inspection requirements in state law.

140140 B. All beef, bison, pork, or chicken shall be delivered and
141141 handled in a manner con sistent with state law and the rules of the
142142 Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry.
143143 C. All beef, bison, pork, or chicken sold and transported out
144144 of the state shall be inspected and cleared for safety and
145145 transportation by a USDA inspector.
146146 D. All beef, bison, pork, or chicken processed, inspected, and
147147 sold in this state shall be labeled “For Intrastate Use Only” and be
148148 labeled as either “Oklahoma Beef”, “Oklahoma Bison”, Oklahoma Pork”,
149149 or “Oklahoma Chicken”.
150150 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
151151 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sect ion 6-221 of Title 2, unless there
152152 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
153153 The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry shall
154154 promulgate rules to enforce the provisions of this act.
155155 SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
