65	65	An Act relating to legislation; creating the Line-
66	66	Item Legislation Committee; providing for membership;
67	67	stating purpose of the committee; requiring delivery

75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
76	76	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
77	77	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 30.1 of Title 75, unless there
78	78	is created a duplication in numberin g, reads as follows:
79	79	Upon Sine Die adjournment of the 2 nd Regular Session of 58 th
80	80	Oklahoma Legislature, the President Pro Tempore and the Speaker of
81	81	the House of Representatives shall , within thirty (30) days of that
82	82	date, create the “Line-Item Legislation Committee”.
83	83	The Committee shall be comprised of five legislative members
84	84	from the Senate and fiv e legislative members of the House to be
85	85	appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker
86	86	of the House of Representatives .

138	138	The purpose of the Committee shall be to develop the necessary
139	139	rules and joint rules of each house of the Legisla ture for the
140	140	implementation of line-item voting procedures for the future
141	141	consideration of legislation . In addition to the procedural
142	142	changes, other considerations and findings shall include software
143	143	updates and estimated costs for the voting procedures a nd
144	144	identification of existing statutes or constitutional provisions
145	145	requiring amendment.
146	146	By November 1, 2022, the findings and recommendations of the
147	147	Committee shall be delivered to the President Pro Tempore of the
148	148	Senate and the Speaker of the House of Re presentatives.
149	149	SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
150	150	of the public peace, health or safety, an emerg ency is hereby
151	151	declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
152	152	be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
