38	43		An Act relating to capitol buildings; providing for
39	44		display of the national motto in the visitor center
40	45		area of the State Capitol Building; authorizing
41	46		certain entities to provide legal defense; providing
42	47		certain construction; providing for codification; and

48	53		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
49	54		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
50	55		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 65 of Title 73, unless there is
51	56		created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
52	57		A. In keeping with the tradition establi shed by the display of
53	58		the national motto in the Tourist Information Cente r of the United
54	59		States Capitol Building, the administrator of the Office of
55	60		Management and Enterprise Services shall utilize monies from the
56	61		Oklahoma State Capitol Building Repair an d Restoration Fund to
57	62		create an inscription of the national motto of the U nited States,
58	63		“In God We Trust”, in a prominently visible location in the visitor
59	64		center of the Oklahoma State Capitol Building. The placement and
60		-	size of the display shall be i n keeping with the place ment and size

89	95		B. In the event that the legality or constitutionality of the
90	96		inscription is challenged in a court of law, the Oklahoma Attorney
91	97		General is hereby authorized to prepare and present a legal defense
92	98		of the inscription.
93	99		C. The placement of this inscription shall not be construed to
94	100		mean that the State of Oklahoma favors any particular religion or
95	101		denomination thereof over others.
96	102		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 20 21.
