7777 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7878 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY Section 1, Chapter 82, O.S.L. 2020
7979 (2 O.S. Supp. 2020, Section 6-182.1), is amended to read as follows:
8080 Section 6-182.1. A. Upon approval by the United States
8181 Department of Agriculture, the The Oklahoma Department of
8282 Agriculture, Food, and Forestry may establish standards for Oklah oma
8383 producers that market and sell beef and, bison, pork or poultry in
8484 intrastate commerce.
8585 B. The Department is authorized to promulgate rules regarding
8686 slaughter facilities that provide for the following:
8787 1. Establish standards that allow for flexibility in beef and,
8888 bison, pork and poultry inspection, including, but not limited to,

140140 establishing the number of inspectors at a facility and the use of
141141 technologies to digitally inspect meat;
142142 2. Establish standards for the labeling of beef and, bison,
143143 pork and poultry products sold intrastate;
144144 3. Establish standards for the number of head over which a
145145 facility shall pay for a state inspector; and
146146 4. Establish any other standards necessary to increase the
147147 ability of producers to market and sell beef and, bison, pork and
148148 poultry in intrastate commerce .
149149 C. Any rules promulgated pursuant to this sectio n shall ensure
150150 that food safety will not be compromised in any way and will ensure
151151 that consumers are protected.
152152 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the pr eservation
153153 of the public peace, health or s afety, an emergency is hereby
154154 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
155155 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
