An Act relating to cities and towns; authorizing 
cities and towns to adopt ordinances enabling the 
painting of blue lines and the posting of signage to 
express support for law enforcement; providing for 
codification; and providing an effective date. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 36 -122 of Title 11, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
Cities and towns are hereby authorized to adopt ordinances 
enabling the painting of blue lines on city streets and the posting 
of signage for the purpose of expressing support for law 
enforcement. 
The provisions of this section shall be considered an addition 
to any federal or state law, rule or regulation regarding signage

requirements and roadway markings and shall not limit or amend any 
other applicable laws, rules or regulations. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2021 .
