65	65	An Act relating to daylight saving time; establishing
66	66	standard time in this state; s pecifying effect on
67	67	certain actions; exempting Oklahoma from the federal
68	68	daylight saving time provision; authorizing future
69	69	action; providing for codification; and providing an

75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOM A:
76	76	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A n ew section of law to be codified
77	77	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 90.24 of Title 25, unless there
78	78	is created a duplication in nu mbering, reads as follows:
79	79	A. The standard time in Oklahoma shall be know n as Central
80	80	Daylight Time (CDT).
81	81	B. This section shall not be construe d to affect the standard
82	82	time established by United States law governing the movements of
83	83	common carriers engaged in interstate commerce or the time for
84	84	performance of an act by an off icer or department of the United
85	85	States, as established by a statute, la wful order, rule or
86	86	regulation of the United States or an agency hereof.

138	138	C. As authorized by the Uniform Time Act o f 1966, as amended,
139	139	and notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary by
140	140	the United States government rel ating to adoption of daylight saving
141	141	time by all of the states, the State of Oklahoma elects to adopt
142	142	such time and elects to continue i n force the terms of subsection A
143	143	of this section relating to the year-round standard time in
144	144	Oklahoma.
145	145	D. The adopting of daylight saving time as provided for in this
146	146	section may be changed by future legislative action.
147	147	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective Nove mber 1, 2021.
