6565 An Act relating to mask mandates; stating legislative

7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3106.5 of Title 74, unless there
7878 is created a duplication in n umbering, reads as follows:
7979 A. The Legislature, seeking to protect aga inst the overreach of
8080 governmental entities and to safeguard the individual freedoms of
8181 taxpayers and businesses, intends to preempt any other ordinance
8282 enacted or adopted to mandate the wearing of masks on public and
8383 private property.
8484 B. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, cities and towns
8585 of this state may neither enact nor enforce any ordinanc e or other
8686 local law conflicting with subsection A of this section .

138138 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
139139 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
140140 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
141141 be in full force from and after its passage an d approval.
