57	46		BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REP RESENTATIVES OF THE
58	47		2ND SESSION OF THE 58TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
59	48		SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall r efer to the people for
60	49		their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by la w,
61	50		the following proposed amendment to Sectio n 1 of Article III of the
62	51		Oklahoma Constitution to read as follows:
63	52		Section 1. Qualifications of electors.
64	53		Subject to such exceptions as the Legislature ma y prescribe, all
65	54		only citizens of the United States , who are over the age of eighte en
	55	+	(18) years, and who are bona fide residents of this state , are
	56	+	qualified electors of this state.
	57	+	SECTION 2. The Ballot Title for the propo sed Constitutional
	58	+	amendment as set forth in SECTION 1 of this resolution shall be in
	59	+	the following form:

101	89		This measure amends Section 1 of Article 3 of the Oklahoma
102	90		Constitution. It clarifies that only citizens of the United
103	91		States are qualified to vote in this state.

107	95		SECTION 3. The President Pro Tempore of the Senate shall,
108	96		immediately after the passage of this resolution, pre pare and file

110	98		hereof, with the Secretary of State and one copy with the Attorney
