55	52		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKL AHOMA:
56	53		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2021 , Section 11-406, is
57	54		amended to read as follows:
58	55		Section 11-406. A. A farm tractor, as defi ned in Section 1-118
59	56		of this title, used for agricultural, commercial or any other lawful
60	57		purpose, or any implement of husbandry , as defined in Section 1 -125
61	58		of this title, except trailers and semitrailers when operated in
62	59		accordance with statutory limits or provisions of Section 14 -101 of
63	60		this title, shall not be permitted to travel upon any highway in
64	61		this state which is a part o f the National System of Interstate and
65	62		Defense Highways. However, the Department of Public Safety shall
	63	+	have the authority to permit such travel in certain geographic areas

93		-	have the authority to permit such travel in certain geographic areas
94	90		of the state as deemed necessary. Such tractor o r implement may be
95	91		operated on any other roadway in this state if the o perator has
96	92		attached all the safety devices required by law and has taken
97	93		reasonable steps to reduce the width of the tractor or implement as
98	94		provided for by the manufacturer. Whenever the width of a farm
99	95		tractor or implement of husbandry exceeds the widt h of that portion
100	96		of a roadway on which the tractor or implement is driven, which is
101	97		marked as a single lane of traffic, or, if the roadway has not been
102	98		marked for lanes of traffic and the width of the tractor or
103	99		implement exceeds more than fifty percent ( 50%) of the width of the
104	100		roadway, the operator shall move the tractor or implement, as so on
105	101		as possible, as far to the right -hand side of the roadway as is
106	102		practicable and safe upon app roach of any oncoming or followi ng
107	103		vehicle and upon approaching the cre st of a hill.
108	104		B. Upon the immediate approach of a farm tractor or implement
109	105		of husbandry which cannot be moved by the operator thereof to the
110	106		far right-hand side of the roadway, as req uired in subsection A of
111	107		this section, due to the existence of any brid ge or guardrail, sign
112	108		or any other physical impediment which would not safely allow such
113	109		tractor or implement to travel on the far right -hand side of the
114	110		road, the driver of every other vehicle shall yield the right -of-way
115	111		and shall immediately pull over t o the far right-hand side of the
	112	+	road and remain in such position until the tractor or im plement has
	113	+	passed.

145	140		C. This section shall not operate to relieve any operator of a
146	141		farm tractor or implement of husbandry from the duty to drive with
147	142		due regard for the safety of all persons using the roadway.
148	143		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
