5552 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKL AHOMA:
5653 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2021 , Section 11-406, is
5754 amended to read as follows:
5855 Section 11-406. A. A farm tractor, as defi ned in Section 1-118
5956 of this title, used for agricultural, commercial or any other lawful
6057 purpose, or any implement of husbandry , as defined in Section 1 -125
6158 of this title, except trailers and semitrailers when operated in
6259 accordance with statutory limits or provisions of Section 14 -101 of
6360 this title, shall not be permitted to travel upon any highway in
6461 this state which is a part o f the National System of Interstate and
6562 Defense Highways. However, the Department of Public Safety shall
63+have the authority to permit such travel in certain geographic areas

93-have the authority to permit such travel in certain geographic areas
9490 of the state as deemed necessary. Such tractor o r implement may be
9591 operated on any other roadway in this state if the o perator has
9692 attached all the safety devices required by law and has taken
9793 reasonable steps to reduce the width of the tractor or implement as
9894 provided for by the manufacturer. Whenever the width of a farm
9995 tractor or implement of husbandry exceeds the widt h of that portion
10096 of a roadway on which the tractor or implement is driven, which is
10197 marked as a single lane of traffic, or, if the roadway has not been
10298 marked for lanes of traffic and the width of the tractor or
10399 implement exceeds more than fifty percent ( 50%) of the width of the
104100 roadway, the operator shall move the tractor or implement, as so on
105101 as possible, as far to the right -hand side of the roadway as is
106102 practicable and safe upon app roach of any oncoming or followi ng
107103 vehicle and upon approaching the cre st of a hill.
108104 B. Upon the immediate approach of a farm tractor or implement
109105 of husbandry which cannot be moved by the operator thereof to the
110106 far right-hand side of the roadway, as req uired in subsection A of
111107 this section, due to the existence of any brid ge or guardrail, sign
112108 or any other physical impediment which would not safely allow such
113109 tractor or implement to travel on the far right -hand side of the
114110 road, the driver of every other vehicle shall yield the right -of-way
115111 and shall immediately pull over t o the far right-hand side of the
112+road and remain in such position until the tractor or im plement has
113+passed.

145140 C. This section shall not operate to relieve any operator of a
146141 farm tractor or implement of husbandry from the duty to drive with
147142 due regard for the safety of all persons using the roadway.
148143 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
