14	47		records kept by county offices; permitting the use of
15	48		digital copies as originals; permitting fee; and

22	53		BE IT ENACTED BY THE P EOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

24	54		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 19 O.S. 2021, Section 155.7, is
25	55		amended to read as follows:

27	56		Section 155.7 A. County officers may have a ny or all records
28	57		kept by any county office pho tographed, digitized, ph otostated,
29	58		reproduced on film or stored on optical disk. Such film or
30	59		reproducing material shall be of durable material and the device
31	60		used to reproduce such records on film or other m aterial shall be
32	61		such as to accurately reproduc e and perpetuate the ori ginal records
33	62		in all details.

35	63		B. The photostatic copy, photograph, digital cop y, photographic
36	64		film or optical disk of the original records s hall be deemed to be

37	92		an original record for all purposes, and shall be admissible in
38	93		evidence in all court or admin istrative agencies, or by the county
39	94		for accounts payable and inventory . A facsimile, exemplification or
40	95		certified copy thereof sha ll, for all purposes recited herein, be
41	96		deemed to be a transcript, exemplification or certified copy of the
42	97		original.

44	98		C. Whenever such reproduced records shall be placed in
45	99		conveniently accessible files and p rovisions made for preserving,

54	106		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
