AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to district attorneys; directing
district attorneys to provide written report of
certain investigations to the Governor; providing for
codification; and providing an effective date .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 215.41 of Title 19, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
When presented with information of judicial misconduct that may
rise to the level of a misdemeanor or felony offense, a district
attorney who conducts an investigation into the criminal allegations
shall, within thirty (30) days of the date of the initial
investigation and each thirty (30) days thereafter, report in
writing to the Office of the Governor the purpose and status of the
investigation until charges are filed or th e district attorney
declines to file charges.

SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
