SENATE BILL 1034 By: Dahm
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to lobbyists; prohibiting s tate
agencies from entering in to contracts and agreements
with certain lobbyists without certain approval;
defining term; providing for codification; and
providing an effective date .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new se ction of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statut es as Section 4262 of Title 74, unless there
is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
A. No state agency shall contract or enter into agreements with
a lobbyist or lobbyist organizations without written approval of the
appropriate cabinet secretary.
B. For the purposes of this section, “state agency” shall have
the same meaning as defined in subsection A of Section 327 of Title
61 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
