64	64	to make certain decision relat ing to the Oklahoma
65	65	National Guard; moving certain asse ts to the Oklahoma
66	66	State Guard under certain circumstances; providing

71	71	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
72	72	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be co dified
73	73	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 23.1 of Title 44, unless there
74	74	is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
75	75	In the event that the President of the United States activat es
76	76	the Oklahoma National Guard for federal duty, the Governor sha ll
77	77	have the authority to accept o r decline the request. If the
78	78	Governor declines the request, all resources, offic ers, employees,
79	79	positions, and funds relating to the Oklahoma National Guard shall
80	80	be immediately transferred to the Oklahoma State Guard .
81	81	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
