7171 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7272 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be co dified
7373 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 23.1 of Title 44, unless there
7474 is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
7575 In the event that the President of the United States activat es
7676 the Oklahoma National Guard for federal duty, the Governor sha ll
7777 have the authority to accept o r decline the request. If the
7878 Governor declines the request, all resources, offic ers, employees,
7979 positions, and funds relating to the Oklahoma National Guard shall
8080 be immediately transferred to the Oklahoma State Guard .
8181 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
